TEST RESULTS:
YES! Positive change in 97% of youth considered “At Risk”… !!!!! YES….The Stepping Stones have been successfully “tested”. In fact, it was tested in one the most difficult environments, the United North Amityville Youth Organization, (U.N.A.Y.O.) in New York. More than 125 children of varying ages participated in the program. All of children are considered to be “At Risk”. Ms. Valerie C. Tutt, Executive Director states: “Upon completion of this session of camp, U.N.A.Y.O. saw a positive change in 97% of the youth” (August 6, 1999). YES...! 97% of “High Risk” children showed a positive change in their “attitude”. Their attitude became the “right attitude” and the “right attitude” makes good behavior.
A Single Mom says: “After fully absorbing the profound impact of the natural tendencies of my children and realizing that things I was seeing all along were natural and my children were normal, I felt like a new invigorated parent. It was an empowering experience. I completed my multiple intelligence quiz and I realized after 37 years who I really am and why I act as I do. After completing the multiple intelligences’ quizzes for my two kids, I was surprised to see that each was different in ways I had not imagined yet, the differences were always evident in how each responded to me and to each other. In less than 3 months a whole new way of communicating began and my children actually listen to me. They have different personalities ..and now I thank God, good attitudes ... By the 5th week his behavior and our communication was in a whole new good place. My husband and I first became aware of the parenting program offered by the Children and Parents Network through an advertisement in a parent magazine. The article detailed the “natural tendencies” and “multiple intelligences” that all children have. We had real concerns about our 14 year old son. The program began with a down to earth realization that boys and girls are different based upon hormones and brain circuitry that produce natural tendencies in boys and girls that are quite different. That realization alone was worth its weight in gold. The next step was simple assessments to determine which of the multiple intelligences are strengths and which are weakest. After answering the questionnaires with our son we were surprised at the results. As parents, we gained personal insight into ourselves. We were especially surprised to discover our son’s strongest intelligence was the “Naturalist”. We began to communicate and parent our son utilizing the suggestions in the literature as well as using the insight we gained from the two tele-conferences which were very helpful. The program is easy to implement. After a few sessions we were confident that we could incorporate the suggested activities and communication methods into a lifestyle. This program has given us important tools necessary for effective parenting. In addition to the benefits our son is reaping from the program, my husband and I have set personal goals for ourselves. Our son is now positioned to maximize his greatest potential in life and my husband and I thank the Children and Parents Network for all the help it has given us. “

A Non-Custodial ( Single) Dad says: “I’m a non-custodial dad. I have my son who is 4 and my daughter who is 6 every other weekend. Reading about the natural circuitry and natural tendencies of my children made so much sense and it is so evident even in the ways in which they play. My daughter is very bright. We actually answered the intelligence questionnaires together. She loved the idea. My son is a little young... so I gave him the quiz through my observations. The insight I gained about myself and them is rewarding and gives me the opportunity to adjust things now so that both of my kids will keep the right attitude. We do projects that involve building up their intelligences strengths and it seems to redirect their energy. I see less arguing between the kids. That makes me a happy dad!
